The AK-Computer cares for the IT-infrastructure of the Fachschaften (especially for not so technically adept ones), the Arbeitskreise and the infrastrucuture in the two offices of the student associtation FaVeVe. I.d. we care for internet/intranet access, we administrate our own web and mail server and provide support and administrate workstations/terminals for the FaVeVe and Fachschaften.
Our services are frequently used, e.g. we're hosting about 40 web project of several Fachschaften und groups of students at the University of Stuttgart, several hundred mailing lists and about 15 workstations/terminal-pc's at the Nili and ZFB (the two offices)
If you want to gather work experience in administrating a mid-class network, in cabling networks, in administration of different kinds of servers (a lot bigger than you'll find usually at home), do not hesitate to contact us at admin-recruiting@faveve.uni-stuttgart.de
